Not my finest day. Missed a turn among the jumble of jeep roads in Saguache Park and didn’t notice my mistake for a good mile and a half. Then I passed up a couple of mediocre water sources but ran out and had to dip out muddy marsh water instead. In a rainstorm.
Had blue skies in the morning but squalls in the afternoon, which is probably what I can expect from here on out. Between the rain and having to ford Cochetopa and Nutra creeks (their bridges are washed out), my feet stayed pretty wet through the afternoon. Makes me appreciate a dry warm sleeping bag all the more I guess.
