CT mile 251 – distractions

It is somewhat hard to write when you are tired. Yesterday’s entry was a bit incoherent. So I will say that this was a day of delightful distractions: the generous warm light of early morning; elk scrambling over the divide; coyotes yowling in the valley below; the Alpine Tunnel exhibit; two storms; a day hiker/ trail angel who gave me apple slices and pretzels; fishing at Boss Lake; the Prehistoric Walls; and finally, a windwashed but glorious camp on the divide. The CT is nothing if not entertaining.

mile 236 – enjoying some sun

mile 238 – Chalk Creek in the morning sun

mile 252 – the Prehistoric Walls

mile 250 – Mt. Ouray and the distant Sangres
